Ramiro Infanzon

Project Management and Naval Architecture

Ramiro has more than ten years of experience working in the maritime industry.

He has participated in the design and build of boats, yachts and ships ranging from 10m to 105m in length.

His passion for boats and the sea started from a young age while sailing dinghies and surfing. Out of high school, he pursued a career in engineering at the local university. On his twenties, he took a year off to do a work and holiday experience in New Zealand. There in 2008 he took his first job in a family owned boatyard in Christchurch building an IRC52 carbon fibre sailing race yacht. That plus a sailing trip from Auckland to Noumea in a 34ft sailing yacht together with 3 kiwis for eleven days, convinced him of his passion for yachts and made him focus his career on yachts. A year after that in 2010 he commenced university in Launceston, Australia doing a BEng in Naval Architecture. He graduated in 2013.

During the summer breaks at university, he worked in boatyards and a design office gaining important experience. During the year at university, he was a tutor helping students with engineering and naval architecture units.

After graduation as a naval architect, he started working in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for an Australian company where he gained experience as project supervisor. After a sudden market downturn in the offshore market in 2015, he decided to come to Europe following an opportunity. He first landed in the charming town of La Ciotat, France. And later that year came to The Netherlands where he has been working with superyachts, tenders, and offshore vessels.
